Converting videos to GIFs has never been easier. With our browser-based video to GIF converter, you can create high-quality GIFs from your videos without uploading anything to a server. Everything happens right in your browser, keeping your files completely private.

To upload your video, you have two options:

Option 1: Drag and Drop Simply drag your video file from your computer and drop it onto the converter interface. The app will automatically recognize your file and load it for conversion.

Option 2: Choose File Click the “Choose” or “Select File” button to open your file browser. Navigate to where your video is saved, select it, and click “Open.”

Once your video loads, you’ll see a preview along with several customization options on the right side of the screen.

Customizing Your GIF

Setting the Time Range

The Start Time and End Time fields let you choose which part of your video gets converted to GIF. By default, the converter might select the first 5 seconds (00:00:00 to 00:00:05), but you can adjust these to capture any moment from your video.

For example, if you want to convert a funny moment that happens 10 seconds into your video and lasts 3 seconds, you would set:

  • Start Time: 00:00:10
  • End Time: 00:00:13

Choosing Your Frame Rate

The Frame Rate option determines how smooth your GIF will be. You can choose from:

  • 5 frames per second
  • 10 frames per second (default)
  • 15 frames per second
  • 20 frames per second
  • 25 frames per second
  • 30 frames per second

Higher frame rates create smoother animations but result in larger file sizes. For most purposes, 10-15 frames per second strikes a good balance between quality and file size.

Selecting Resolution

The Resolution dropdown lets you control the dimensions of your output GIF. Options include:

  • 32p (very small)
  • 64p
  • 128p
  • 320p
  • 480p (default, good for most uses)
  • 640p
  • 800p
  • 1024p (high quality)

Lower resolutions create smaller file sizes, which is helpful if you’re planning to share your GIF on social media or messaging apps. Higher resolutions preserve more detail but create larger files.

Quality Settings

Below the resolution, you’ll find quality options:

  • Best Quality: Maximum quality output
  • Good Quality: Balanced quality and file size (recommended for most users)

Converting Your Video to GIF
